Our Story

Growing up in small town America I was surrounded by skillful people using traditional techniques to make practical and artistic items. I would watch mesmerized as homegrown produce was canned and game was cured and smoked. Leaving school and seeking to explore the world, my early years were spent serving in elite military units. I then took the learned values and commitment to my passion for craft food and opened a smoke house. The following years spent in the food community led to meeting other crafts-people creating excellent and innovative products. The excitement of discovering pure and simple craft foods has never worn off!
